Heather is our veterinary assistant here at All Bird Clinic. She is veterinarian-trained to handle your avian babies with the utmost care. She loves birds and is dedicated to giving the best care & treatment possible. When handling patients, Heather's goal is to always treat the patients with the love & gentleness she would expect for her pets.
Heather has been working for Dr. Flinchum for 4 years. Before that, she was a legal secretary for 10 years. However, she always had a love for animals and had numerous pets her whole life, including birds. Heather's first large parrot entered her life in 2000, a Congo African Grey named Mango. Soon after that, Heather met Dr. Flinchum as a client for Mango's routine exam and continued to see her for his regular health check-ups. Evenutally an opportunity became available to work with Dr. Flinchum in 2003. Heather has been lovingly grooming birds and assisting with with the care of ill and injured birds ever since.
One of the hazards of working at All Bird Clinic is acquiring more birds! Heather's "flock" grew to include Timmy, a Timneh African Grey, G.G., a Dusky Pionus, and Charlie, a Lutino Cockatiel. That's in addition to her beloved Fish, a Maine Coon Mix cat that she adopted in 1995. Benson, a precious Yorkshire Terrier, also recently joined the family.
Down below, you'll find links to Heather's favorite websites & pictures of her "kids".
